On the way to Worship Service
The members of United Lutheran Church have an exciting ministry.
Our Mission Statement is To Love God and follow Jesus Christ by serving our church family, The Wartburg Community, and the World.
Our Vision is to share our blessings and invite others to join us.
This is a Lutheran Church which treasures the Catholic tradition of the church all the way back to the Apostles.
Each Sunday we celebrate the gift of Christ's presence among us in the Holy Communion.
All Baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Sacrament.
Our Church is handicap accessible.
One of our outstanding programs is Worship on Wheels (WOW)
Every Sunday at 9:45am, volunteers transport residents in wheel chairs from the Wartburg Adult Community to United Lutheran Church for morning worship. When the weather is cool, the residents are wrapped in beautiful orange capes with hoods, that were hand made by women from Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville. Material was purchased with donations from the Thrivent Care Community and the congregation.
If you would like to volunteer for this rewarding outreach program, you can email cfryer@thewartburg.org.
WELCA Ministry (Women of the Evangelical Church in America). These ladies are also members of Thrivent Financial Group. Both organizations sponsor several programs annually to support outreach programs for the homeless and less fortunate.
Children's Sunday School meets on the fourth sunday of the month at 9:30am in the church.
Baptisms and Weddings are performed after advance consultation with the Pastor. Private confession and absolution is available to all by request. Please speak to Pastor Fryer to make an appointment.
